Tim Hunt

An experienced journalist and marketer, Tim originally trained as a reporter, rising through the ranks to edit three Midlands-based newspapers. He then spent a decade in senior marketing and communications roles before joining Above and Beyond.

A media relations expert, Tim always puts his newsroom experience to good effect, whether it’s gaining column inches with punchy, concise copywriting or helping to keep adverse coverage at bay. He’s also an effective digital communicator, producing websites, marketing collateral and social media content on clients’ behalf.

Whatever the sector, Tim goes the extra mile to understand his clients’ business objectives so he can provide best advice and sound strategic counsel.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Tim is a previous winner of the Ted Bottomley Award for Newspaper Practice.


Sophie Hunt

A seasoned communications professional, Sophie worked for two of the country’s top ten PR consultancies before launching Above and Beyond.

During her career, she has advised organisations ranging from charities and fledgling start-ups to £multi-million blue chips. Her previous clients have included Marks & Spencer, Balfour Beatty WorkPlace, Gist, Lafarge, Bovis Lend Lease and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Known for her clear thinking and enthusiasm, Sophie is equally at home in the board room or on the shop floor. Whether it’s formulating strategy or advising on the best way to secure headline coverage, she quickly gets to grips with her clients’ business needs, adding real value and delivering results which make a genuine difference.

Sophie has received industry recognition for her client service and she is a former runner up in both the Institute of Public Relations’ ‘Young Communicator of the Year’ award and PR Week’s ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ award.
